Men of all ages are invited to Franciscan University of Steubenville for this year's men's conference, themed "Sharpened on the Rock II: Trained for Battle." Through talks and workshops, private prayer and public praise, hours of fellowship, and the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass, this conference aims to teach men how to be warriors of Christ and also to prepare other men for battle against the world, the flesh, and the devil through men's ministry.
The conference will address practical concerns that men's ministry groups and leaders face, as well as concerns faced by all men attempting to follow Christ: how to become better husbands and fathers, overcome sin, and understand the truth of divine sonship.
Speakers include: Deacon Ralph Poyo, President and Founder of New Evangelization Ministries; Deacon Larry Oney, Chairman of the Board and CEO of Hammerman and Ganner International; John Beaulieu, Director of Youth Outreach at Franciscan University.
